⌚ Does time actually heal everything?
The older you get, the wiser you become right? Let's explore.

The 5-minute weekly newsletter for high-performance dads.
Good evening.
Any Olympics fans here?
Did you know? The 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris will include four new sports: breaking, skateboarding, surfing, and sport climbing.
Additionally, the Opening Ceremony will not be held in a stadium for the first time ever. Instead, it will be done on the Seine, the river that crosses the center of Paris.

QUOTE
“The days can be easy if the years are consistent. You can write a book or get in shape or code a piece of software in 30 minutes per day. But the key is you can't miss a bunch of days.”
-James Clear

If there's one thing I've learned juggling family life, personal ambition and professional growth, it's that even a 30-minute window can be incredibly productive if used wisely.
The keyword here is IF.
It's tempting to justify sitting down to kick our feet up and “take a moment”—I mean parenting will do that to you, am I right or am I right?
Next thing you know you are doom-scrolling for two hours.
Guilty.
But let’s imagine for a second what we could achieve if we dedicated those 30 minutes to something we've been putting off or wanting to do.
A business idea? Starting a book? More time by yourself? Working out?
By consistently stacking these productive moments day after day, we can do some real damage in our pursuit of being ELITE!
WISDOM
Time doesn’t heal—intentional work heals.
This insight comes from Carl Lentz, former pastor of Hillsong New York, who recently opened up about his infidelity and addiction in a podcast with his wife.
Regardless of how you feel about him, I find this to be a profound truth.
It challenges the adage that the older you get, the wiser, healthier, more dependable, courageous, full of integrity, etc. you become.
Yes, those things can come with age but they don’t just show up on your doorstep one day.
They come from choosing to do the tough inner work to get you to a place of more hope. More joy. More freedom. More peace. More clarity. More healing.
Is there something in your life that you’ve been hoping time will heal? Perhaps it's time to consider some intentional work instead.
ACTION
Dream in decades.
We overestimate what we can do in a year and underestimate what we can do in a decade.
Dream in decades. A year away can be forecasted, but a decade can’t.
You can do just about anything you want in a decade if you work towards it.
When you dream that far in the future, your ambition can grow in orders of magnitude.
So take time to think that far in the future. What person do you want to be? What do you want to be doing?
