👀 The secret to success EVERY dad should know

Hint: it's not what you think it is.

The 2-minute weekly newsletter for faith-driven dads.

Good evening, gents!

Yes, that is the goalpost being carried down the busiest street in Nashville by Vanderbilt students on their way to throw it into the Cumberland River.

I couldn’t help myself given the magnitude of the Vandy win vs. #1 Alabama last weekend. Huge shoutout to the Commodores—the first time they have ever beaten a #1 team and quite frankly, could be the last.

For those of you who don’t know, I work at Vanderbilt and my Tarheels suck this year, so it’s all about the Black & Gold this week.

QUOTE
“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.”
-Aristotle

This quote from Aristotle emphasizes the power of consistent actions.

We don’t achieve excellence overnight; it’s built through daily habits and repeated effort.

For us as dads, husbands, and leaders, it reminds us that the small, intentional actions we take every day—whether it's showing up for our families or staying disciplined in our work—shape who we are and lead to lasting success.

It’s the habits we form that determine the outcomes we create in life.
