🔑The key to real humility (and why it matters today)
A tale as old as time.

The 2-minute weekly newsletter for faith-driven dads.
Good evening.
You can either do what’s convenient and become acceptable or you can do what’s required and become exceptional.
The second is painful for now.
The first is painful forever.— Alex Hormozi (@AlexHormozi)

QUOTE
“Humility is to make a right estimate of one’s self.”
-Charles Spurgeon
Another way to think about it: humility is about being "right-sized"—not thinking too highly of ourselves, but also not thinking too lowly.
In a world where it's easy to inflate our egos and seek validation through admiration, love, or acceptance, staying grounded is essential.
True humility isn't about putting ourselves down or hiding our strengths; it’s about having a balanced view of who we are.
It’s about recognizing our worth without needing to prove it to others.
Being "right-sized" means embracing our talents and limitations equally, knowing that we have value, but so do others.
It helps us stay authentic, lead with grace, and build stronger relationships without the need for constant approval.
WISDOM
Wherever there is an idol in your life, that’s the Enemy’s target.
Wherever there is an idol in your life, that’s the Enemy’s target.
It’s also the place where you are tempted to strike deals with God that He never agreed to.
Ask the Lord to help you see where you are giving ground to the Enemy and missing the beauty of what God has truly promised you for eternity.
Friend, spend some time asking yourself the honest question “when did Heaven stop being enough?”

ACTION
Ask for help.
Too often pride or just a fierce independence can make us do things alone and from scratch.
But leaning on others who've been there before can be a huge boost AND build great relationships.
