⛔ The hidden cost of doing nothing

It's more costly than we think.

The 2-minute weekly newsletter for high-performance dads.

What’s good, fam!

School is officially back in sesh for all the kids and so is the traffic. 👎️

In honor of school starting back up, let’s pay homage to the only school we ever dreamed of going to growing up:

Dang-for real??

Easier said than done, I know, but embracing this mindset is a game-changer.

The truth is, we can’t control what others think—only how we conduct ourselves.

This doesn’t just apply to acquaintances; it’s crucial with our wives, kids, and close friends too.

When I start overthinking my standing with my family or worry if I’ve upset them, it usually means I’m not taking enough proactive steps on my end.

It’s a sign to focus more on my actions rather than getting lost in assumptions.

WISDOM
Contemplate the price you pay for inaction.

We often overlook the fact that inaction comes with its own cost.

While we tend to think that the most important resource we have is time, it’s actually our attention that matters most.

Time can pass without you realizing or enjoying it if your attention is elsewhere.

When you don’t take action, you’re allowing your attention to be wasted or misused.

This is why it’s crucial to act and commit to things sooner rather than later—because the cost of inaction is often the lost opportunity to fully engage and make meaningful progress.

ACTION
A prayer for wisdom in parenting.

Here is a short prayer for all my fellow dads parenting strong-willed kids.

“Lord, grant me the wisdom to understand my child’s unique personality and needs. Help me nurture their strong will in a way that honors You and helps them grow into the person You created them to be.”

Accompanying scripture: “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.” James 1:5
